Russell Stocker MCSP SRP
BSc (hons) in Physiotherapy
Russell has had a passion for physiotherapy from a young age when he trampolined for Great Britain and suffered injury himself. Having followed a desire to understand the workings of the human body at school, Russell graduated from Brunel University with a
BSc (hons) in Physiotherapy in 1997.
Since then Russell has never looked back and has continued to gain knowledge and experience in the profession he loves. He has worked at centres of excellence including physiotherapy departments in London teaching hospitals,
the on-site medical centre at Goldman Sachs and Bupa’s flagship musculoskeletal and sports injury clinic. He has always worked with respected clinicians of various disciplines, personal trainers, sports therapists and always with high personal standards.
Above all Russell enjoys working with people and for people; to use his knowledge and
skills to problem solve through his patients’ issues with them. He understands the need to listen to patients, the day to day issues their problems influence and apply reasoned treatment be that advice, manual therapy, rehabilitation, exercise programmes and or referral to other professionals when indicated.
Russell aims for all of his patients to
receive physio individualised to their own circumstances and needs. Away from physio Russell enjoys walking, running and holidays with his family! He has cycled all over the UK and in the Alps – 70kph at the rear wheel of Tour de France winner Carlos Sastre was a highlight. Unfortunately, a broken collar bone ended Russell’s thirst for cycling and he runs instead now.
