There are times when even the most fortunate of us finds it hard to cope with life. We may struggle with difficulties in important relationships, or feelings of isolation and unworthiness. Life events may cause unbearable unhappiness, causing us to protect ourselves in unhealthy ways.
It’s not easy to reach an understanding of our feelings without the support of another person. And yet it’s not always easy to talk to family members or friends, who may not be able to explore your experience with impartiality, or simply want to offer you a solution. That’s where the presence and the skills of the counsellor come in.
